2006 EOWA Australian Census of Women in Leadership

Overview

This annual conference on Women, Management and Employment Relations began in 1989. The conference provides an annual audit of the key issues facing women in the workplace. Leaders from government, business, unions and academia are invited to present their views and engage in discussion with the participants. The Director of the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) and Ministers from federal and state government and opposition  have been regular participants.

The goals of the Conference include deepening understanding of the significance of equal employment opportunity at work and its relevance to broad human resource management, and exploring experiences in a range of organisations to develop a greater appreciation of strategic options.

Themes of the 19th conference cover a range of issues critical to women in contemporary workplaces such as: Employment Relations, Leadership, Superannuation, Finance and Workplace Flexibility.  It will draw on the wealth of experience of the Speakers, Chairs and the participants.
